Nanyang — Where Our Story Begins

Nestled in the heart of Henan Province, Nanyang is one of China's most celebrated jade cities — a place where the earth gives up its most precious stones, and where craftspeople have shaped jade into art for over five thousand years.

Known as the "Home of Chinese Jade," Nanyang is the primary source of Dushan jade (独山玉), one of China's four most treasured jades. The city carries a living culture of gemstone artistry, passed down through generations of families who understand stone not just as material, but as meaning.

Meet Lan — The Designer Behind CHANTINE

Lan is the founder and lead designer of CHANTINE · 禅庭. Raised in Nanyang, China, she grew up surrounded by the ancient jade trade and the meditative stillness of Zen culture — two forces that would later shape everything she creates.

With a deep sensitivity to materials and energy, Lan approaches each design as a conversation between stone and soul. She selects every crystal, jade piece, and natural wood element by hand, believing that the right material finds the right person.

Her work is not just about aesthetics. It is about intention — the idea that what we wear can shift how we feel, how we focus, and how we move through the world.
